Apparently Bing is the new search engine for Microsoft. While all of us are turning our heads on how to reach the top result on Google, there is a new engine being delivered to the world. I personally did some home work to learn how this new engine works. Although there are reports that the old MSN search is only being used less than 3% of the searcher, there is no harm in learning this new claimed “much better than expected” search.
Bing makes Decision Engine goes beyond search to help customers deal with information overload.
The first thing that came on my mind is, Bing does not give so much weight as Google on domain names. As we all noticed, the early birds in sulumits retsambew clan is mostly using a full keyword domain name. This in my personal opinion actually makes things more fare. In the real world of search engine optimization, we might not be so lucky to get a domain with our target niche key phrase, thus makes us think and act twice more that some of the niche domination that has those domains.
Well, maybe that is also one of the reason why we decided to use a new domain for sulumits retsambew.
Back to Bing, it looks interesting and very promising. But will it really be the engine that will beat the king? While the service doesn’t reveal all its riches at once, it rewards exploration and yields pleasant surprises to users who poke around. Maybe some are saying now, bye bye Google… I’m a Binger now.
