I really love my Gmail account. And now I am happier since the Gmail team keeps giving us surprises. After launching the video and voice chat feature and also the ability to change the theme on Gmail that makes my account look more personal, now it’s a brand new Desktop application for GMail.
After reading on the Google blog, they mentioned about the latest surprise:
On the Google Desktop gadgets team, we’ve seen countless requests for a Gmail gadget over the years. That gadget is finally here, so if you’ve got Google Desktop for Windows, give it a try.
You’ll see that it covers the basics such as reading, searching, and sending messages. You can star messages, use the same keyboard shortcuts, and we didn’t forget about contact auto-complete. It doesn’t take up much space in your sidebar or desktop, and you can also re size it to show as few or as many messages as you’d like.
This little useful gadget is making my life must easier while reading emails from my Busby SEO Test activities, since I always use Gmail while doing it.
So go ahead, try the Gmail Desktop application for yourself.
For you out there who loves video and voice chat, there is a new feature on Gmail for you. Gmail or GTalk now have the features of video and voice chat option right from your Gmail window. Now video chatting is as easy as instant messaging.
The official Gmail Blog mentioned about this new feature:
Just click on the new “Video & more” menu in a Gmail chat window and select “Start video chat” or “Start voice chat.” You can switch to a full screen view or pop out the chat window and change the size and positioning as you wish. Of course, not everyone has a webcam, but even if you don’t, you can still have voice conversations alongside your email and regular chat.
However, personally in my opinion for all the business calls, I think voice call using Skype is still better. Please test the video chat on Gmail for yourself first.
For the last month there is new great phenomena going on. Many webmaster, blogger and SEO master all around the globe is talking and discussing about it. I as someone who likes the internet (but not a master) also likes to get the feel from the wave of energy that is very strong at the moment.
Yes, I am talking about the Busby SEO Test contest that has been running for the last 40 days or so. A web based company from Perth, Australia is hosting its second SEO world cup. Many join in to feel the rush and learn new methods of search engine optimization.
My main intention in joining this contest is to make new friend and learn. That’s all. I don’t really see myself as a strong player to win this. And I also don’t consider myself as a guru or master. What I am doing with this SEO contest is purely just for fun. The only reason that eliminate the pressure and makes me happy
