Out of the blue, I got a buzz on my Yahoo messenger. There is an old acquaintance that I almost forget say’s hello. It was a fun chat and great to hear news from her. The story is that she is joining to be Singapore Airlines flight attendant. We all know that as the Singapore Airlines girls. The sentence: “Kabonfootprint, do you still remember me?” Makes me laugh… Of course I remember you girl :)

Singapore airlines in my opinion is the best airline in the world at the moment. They have the best service, the best schedules and the best inflight services. Okay, they might not be the best in term of fares. But I always go with my kabonfootprint motto: You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. You pay gold, you get kings.

SQ stewardesses are consider to be the icon of the airline. In every advertisement that you read about Singapore airlines you will find one or two of them. Even a Thai friend of mine told me once, “Why Thai Airways could not put those beautiful Thai girls in the advertisement? Why they use those stewards? I hate seeing all the guys in the ads.”

You know what? I agree with him totally…

Singapore Airlines service and cabin crew has been recognize with many awards from travel and tourism magazine including being awarded the world best cabin crew service by Business Traveller Asia Pacific Awards for 17 years in a row and the long term bold campaign ensure these service aspects. Many have seen and adore these Singapore Girl with their charm.

SQ girl: So how are you Kabon?

Kabonfooprint: I am well, but what about you? I heard you are joining SQ now?

Girl: Yeah, isn’t that great? But I am still on training now, hope to be able to pass soon. They will announce it on 30th September.

Kabon: Yes sure good news, but training must be hard huh… (silly face)

Girl: Totally, you know the things that we have to do, like jump from 5 meters high of the airplane, if you don’t jump, you fail. And also swim with the full Singapore airlines kebaya. Now we are also learning CPR and other procedures and much other stuff. Kinda tired sometimes, but it’s interesting.

Kabon: It sounds interesting.

Girl: Keep the spirit….!!! (smiling)

Kabon: Well I wish you all the best and success. Just enjoy it and let me know when you pass. So tell me where do you thing will be your first flight, when you pass?

Girl: I heard from some gossip that I am listed on the roster already to fly to Melbourne, then to Narita, after that to Frankfurt and London.

Kabon: Woaw… I like to go to all those places someday. Well, regards to all you cute friends okay!

Girl: I will kabon… And I will also tell all of them when they come to Bali, they have to meet with my friend Kabonfootprint. You will take them and show them around right?

Kabon: (drooling face) yeah… sure… Would love too… :)

Girl: Okay then, bye Kabon…

The Prestige Singapore Airlines

I am quite proud that I personally know somebody that would be a Singapore Airline girl soon. This airline is the first to fly the new airbus A380 and also now they are flying four times to Bali daily. As one of the strongest brands from Asia, I know that they will still dominate the sky some quite sometimes now.

The Singapore girl has almost become a visual trademark for SQ. They contribute immensely to the success of the carrier brand strategy and its entire marketing positioning around customer satisfaction. What a great way to fly with those girls on board.
