As a new player in contest like the Busby SEO Test I always like to check my blog pagerank. And since the last couple of days I read many post that said there was a recent update, I keep checking my pages using a simple toolbar from Google on my firefox browser.

On the other hand I hear that Google recently removed the Pagerank toolbar from their promotion. That made me question myself, will they get rid of the visible toolbar indicator.
To my surprise while doing some SEO testing yesterday, I cannot see any toolbar data showing on my firefox and I have restarted a few times. This was a huge shock to me. Have the really taken off the feature? Is it a bug? Is it forever?
But I can see the pagerank data on different tool such as the page rank checker website.
Luckily, after an hour or so, the toolbar is back and working as normal. So I am sure it was just a temporary bug. I could not imagine how SEO would be without the PR toolbar. Even thou it does not make any significant matter on your SERP but still it bring great internal pride ![]()
Testing your SPAM skill

The last 14 days in this Busby SEO Test I have noticed another great thing. I always thought that in contests like these there would be some spamming activities involved. And yes, now I see them right here in our Busby race.

I didn’t want to talk about it before, as I have been noticing this for some days now. But when I see other participant post about it, I just could not stand myself and say, “I also have to post about this SPAM!”
When doing some basic SEO testing in seeing other participant back link using simple tool such as Backlinkwatch and the Yahoo site explorer instantly I could see the places where these contestants leave their trails. Most of them are lame comments such as “Great blog, keep it up!” or “Thank you for this information.” This in my opinion is not the essence of a good comment.
I do not want to be hypocrite to say that I did not do the same, but do understand that I never use automated tools for the purpose of spamdexing. I always want to learn new ways, but when I bumped into methods of spamming in this SEO test, I think even Busby would not like it.

To my surprise again, today I check my website statistic using awstats and found out one fact. Yesterday this Busby SEO Test blog gets the most unique visitor since the contest was held. Perhaps since it is dropping on the search result many out there want to know what I did wrong.

I think there is nothing wrong people, it’s just that I don’t have the time to do all the testing. So should you have not check your stats do use awstats and read all the FAQ and documentations now.
In term of SEO you can check where your visitor comes from and what key phrase the use to find your pages. It’s the greatest tool that I use for monitoring my site.
Banana for your SEO testing energy

Sunday again…
The only day of the week that I can look into my blog and do some SEO test for the Busby world contest. And for my surprise this morning, I found out that the search engines love to eat Banana. What do I mean with banana? Yeah, just look at the SERP today on the print screen bellow.

I guess the search engine do not like to smoke cigars and drink alcohol. I have seen another participant from French offer bier for Google, but it seems like they don’t really like it. Also a fellow Indonesian friend offers cigar that is bigger that anyone else and I think they don’t like it either
So this also prove, that when you want to play and challenge yourself in the Busby seo test, always remember to be fit and healthy. Eat good food and exercise, that will make you feel good inside and high with positive energy.
Again I am not a SEO master, I am just a new kid in the block. So my position in this test is just temporary before all the masters will reclaim it from me. No problem, but at least I have made many new friends and keep being healthy.
Will you read my picture

Yesterday I found out from the Googleblog, that they have included Optical Character Recognition technology. Saying that, I also see that the documents that they mentioned is Adobe PDF format. And personally I am just curious if Google would start implying this technology to read JPEG as well.
So, I come out with a little test to see if it really works. Perhaps this will change the SEO methods in the near future. I created a JPEG file only with text in the image. And the words that are in this image would not appear in the search result. Let see if you can really read my picture.

After this contest being held for 1 full month, finally my SEO test page gets the taste of top position. It’s funny when the one that noticed this was actually my friend who is moving his Busby SEO test page into a new server. Also it is fun because I just changed my title tag including Move Your Ass
I didn’t know that Google are afraid of hard and strong words…

No worries my friend, I have changed my title tag again. Hope by this Google will notice that also and keep that. By that you don’t have to over exercise and move your fat ass again ![]()

Web developers are expert at design and creating. Most designers are not marketers and are unaware of the impact of online marketing. If you never optimize your site it would be like designing a beautiful flier and place it in a closet where no one can see it. SEO opens your site up to search engine spiders and the people looking for your products and services.
High Rank - Traffic - Sales and Conversion
Internet marketing and search engine optimization are targeting the higher search engine ranks and thus will increase your website traffic. When the traffic is targeted to your products it can make the increasing sales in your business. The answer is basically as simple as that.
So start optimizing now and do the needed steps in putting you site in the search result. One of the best ways to learn is by joining contest like the Busby SEO Test and adapts new and latest methods from the other participant.

Search engine optimization have come to a next level. The last couple of years everybody are interested in doing some SEO testing to make their website more reachable using the search engine. The visibility factor have been everybody talks even thou they do not know the basic SEO practices. Also people do not what to invest time in it.

That makes it why there are so many SEO company out there who makes a striking kill in the niche. While doing the Busby SEO Test sometime I am also tempted to take their services instead of doing it myself. But since the scams are getting bigger, it makes me hard to separate the authentic ones.
