The bikini controversy

As usual my daily routine would be a walk down Kuta beach. Breath the fresh air, enjoy the waves and the most important thing is to watch the babes in bikini
If you would ask what is better, a one piece swimsuit or a bikini. Kabonfootprint would definitely go for the bikini. Not the kinky ones like the see through extreme tiny bikini, no, I mean the normal ones that I see a lot in Kuta beach today. I bet by now you are already planning your next trip to go to Kuta.

But when we talk about bikini in Indonesia, woaw it would be a huge controversy subject. It was still in my memory that when the Miss Universe contests 2006 and the latest 2008 Indonesia participant wore a bikini, every person in the country was talking about it. It’s been a big argument is Indonesia so much against bikini?
Okay, please don’t take this post personally or to seriously. Kabonfootprint must warn you, you might get injured if you do that
The controversy begins in 2006 when Nadine Chandra Winata wore a bikini at a Miss Universe 2006 photo shoot for their annual calendar, despite the fact that she could have chosen to wear a one piece swimwear. She was once made famous because of her statement: Indonesia is a beautiful city and we have many bitches’ beaches
Many back home made a strong comment of her swimsuit choice. And it was not a great comment. There was even a remark saying: It’s against Indonesian culture, which does not permit women to wear bikinis in public.
The controversy continued when another Miss Universe 2008 contestant from Indonesia, Putri Raemawasti again wore the swimsuit that could be vulgar to show private parts of the body in such contest and consider it as an act supporting pornography. She appeared wearing a yellow bikini during the swimsuit session. That’s when the controvertial moment arises.
I personally salute Putri for her choice.
So do we have to call this bikini a freedom of choice or another controversy? Is it a disgrace to the culture or a new blend of culture that we must adapt? For sure that above controversy was during a Miss Universe contest not a bikini contest. Perhaps if Kabonfootprint manage to make a live report during a homemade bikini contest in Bali it would be a totally bigger controversy. Don’t you think?
Well I leave you now to make an opinion and let me know what you think. But for now trust me come to Bali and I show you many bikini around Kuta beach.
